I booked a very spur of the moment trip to Portland, Oregon--my first completely solo trip! I am quite well traveled, but I don't think I've ever been alone from start to finish. This was a great place to start - it's super accessible on foot, with a wide variety of activities to get into as a solo traveler. I thoroughly enjoyed eating everything in sight, and actually quite like the gloomy weather that took over on day 2. Highlight of this trip, for me--was seeing Multnomah Falls and going to a Sade tribute show at a little jazz venue. I also really enjoyed spending time with myself, reading, people watching, having a quiet meal, or listening to music/podcasts while aimlessly walking around! Places visited:
